Why School Holiday Camps Matter for Families in Ramsgate Beach
School holidays are a reset. For kids, it’s a chance to move, build confidence, and make new friends. For parents, it can be a juggling act.
A well-run holiday camp helps by giving your child:
✔ Structured activity throughout the day — not just free play
✔ Skill-building through games matched to their age and ability
✔ Consistency within a group, helping them settle in and progress
What sets Scarborough Park apart is the range of sports on offer. This isn’t a single-sport program. Children can explore Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, Soccer, and Volleyball, all at one venue within Leo Smith Reserve in Ramsgate Beach.
Scarborough Park Sports Centre is managed by Sydney Sports Management Group (SSMG) in partnership with Bayside Council. SSMG has more than 30 years of experience managing sport and recreation venues across Sydney.

Our Camp Approach
We keep camp practical, energetic, and structured so kids stay engaged.
We start camp by getting kids comfortable, then grouping them with peers so they can progress together across the week. Staying with their group helps build confidence and momentum.
Camp kicks off with skills and drills, focusing on the building blocks kids need at their level.
As confidence grows, we move into point play, games, and matchplay so kids learn how to use their skills in real situations, not just in isolation.
Kids get regular breaks, including recess and lunch, plus drink intervals to stay hydrated.
The afternoon includes multi-sport games to keep energy high and support overall coordination and movement.
Each camp week finishes with a complimentary Friday BBQ and a round robin tournament, with trophies and prizes.
